“Has that little something extra” (Liz Smith)
Shauna Hicks has starred on Broadway and in theaters, and symphonies all over the country. The New York Times calls Hicks “ A Polished, Theatrical Singer”. New York Magazine finds her “ Gifted & Winning”, while the Chicago Tribune says “Hicks has a Powerhouse Voice & Winning Comic Flare!”
Shauna got her big break understudying the Judy Garland role in“Meet Me In St. Louis” on Broadway. She went on to star in Blood Brothers opposite David and Shaun Cassidy with Petula Clarke, Carole King and Helen Reddy. Hicks also garnered Florida’s Carbonell Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical and a Chicago Jeff Award nomination for the Broadway tour of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying playing Rosemary opposite Ralph Macchio.
Shauna’s nostalgic one woman show has won New York City’s Mac, Cab & Bistro Awards. New York Newsday called it “One of Our Best Nights Out in Months!” and the New York Post says “ How can you go wrong? When Shauna Hicks is doing it, you can’t!” Shauna graduated from The American University (D.C.) with a BA in Theater.
