Hitting #1 on the Australian iTunes Classical charts (2017 & 2016), being the first Australian-Vietnamese ever to do so, Van-Anh Nguyen is a highly in-demand artist, leading an intense global touring career.
Born to Vietnamese-refugee musicians and having started piano studies at the tender age of 13 months old, Australian-born concert pianist, composer and TV host has won several prizes nationally (Kawai Award) and internationally (2nd place & audience prize at the 13th Bad-Bertrich Klaviersomerfest, Germany). Her bubbly personality and emotive playing has graced the stages of Australia including the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall and at events including the Mostly Mozart Series, 3MBS Marathon, World Youth Day and AFCM. Her compositions have been synced for a Coors Light commercial (Vietnam, 2010) and Adelaide Fashion Week (2011).
Van-Anh currently has 6 independent albums including classical albums as well as her own compositions and classical crossover arrangements. 2016 has seen her complete a 15-city-15-concerts tour through China, as well as being Finalist in the Australian Independent Music Awards for both Classical and Electronic Dance categories. Van-Anh has hosted her own TV show on Discovery Channel and is an icon for women in music, having been featured in Harpers Bazaar, Elle, L’Officiel Magazine. Van-Anh currently resides between Los Angeles and Sydney.
